Position Description

Primary duties and responsibilities include consistent and accurate grading of surfaced and green lumber in a high production manufacturing operation. The successful candidate must be NHLA certified or equivalent experience, have the flexibility and ability to work in a team oriented, fast paced work environment with primary focus on personal and team safety behaviors.

Skills & Experience Required

Basic Qualifications:• Applies NHLA grading rules to inspect lumber at production rates, while maintaining the required grading accuracy• Communicates with kiln operator, machine operators and lumber stackers to ensure a consistent flow of quality lumber• Work safely and help maintain a safe work environmentPreferred Qualifications:• NHLA certified or equivalent experience• Possess ability to accurately apply NHLA rules• Minimum of one (1) year experience grading green and kiln dried domestic lumber - this is not an entry level position
