The NHLA Inspector Training School prides itself on affordable, accessible education that is designed specifically for the hardwood lumber industry. Scholarships are available to all applicants of the Inspector Training School and are awarded upon completion of the course.

You can earn your NHLA Inspector Training School certification in as little as 8 weeks, or you can choose a more flexible learning option that fits your schedule. Your success in the hardwood industry is our goal, and our affordable educational programming creates the pathway to get you where you want to go in your career.

In-Person Inspector Training School Program

The Hybrid Online Inspector Training Program is composed of 3 Modules:

Inspector Training School Educational Foundation (ITSEF) Scholarship

In 2015, Inspector Training School Educational Foundation started a scholarship fund to assist prospective students interested in starting or furthering their careers in the hardwood lumber industry. Scholarships are available to students who enroll in the traditional 8-week program in Memphis, TN, and are not employed in the hardwood lumber industry at the time of enrollment. ITSEF scholarships are awarded based on financial need, academic record, and leadership qualities.  Scholarships that are approved by ITSEF are reimbursed up to the amount of $4,060. All scholarship applications must be submitted no later than ten (10) days before the course start date to be considered.
