Cooper Machine is a manufacturer and sales company specializing in the wood products machinery industry for over 59 years. We specialize in Scraggs and are a well-known name brand in the industry.
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities (among others):
– Become an expert on all equipment offered by Cooper Machine and be able to recommend appropriate equipment based on customer’s needs
– Develop and maintain quality relationships with existing customers
– Establish contact with potential customers
– Schedule and visit sawmills and cooperages with potential customers and at our plant, when needed
– Answer questions from customers about product and service benefits
– Recommend appropriate equipment for the needs of the customer
– Respond to email inquiries
– Attend industry trade shows to identify potential sales leads and make meaningful contact with existing customers
– Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales
– Keep the CRM (Pipedrive) updated with current customer contact information and notes
– Generate quotes on Jobboss2 ERP or word
– Generate and submit sales reports to management
-Ability to travel (expect up to 25% per year)
- 3+ years of industry knowledge
- 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook-Excellent written and verbal communication skills to listen to customers’ needs and be able to communicate our equipment and services to them effectively
- Be a self-starter and organized
- Be a people person and have the desire and ability to build relationships with customers
- Be goal driven
Salary is based upon experience. This is a performance based position with base salary + commission.
