Shipping and Inventory Associate

Northland Forest Products, Inc. is seeking to hire a Shipping and Inventory Associate whose duties would include but are not limited to:

Shipments

• Coordinate and expedite daily export and domestic shipments.
• Work with sales and yard personnel to assemble shipments and meet sales targets and deadlines.
• Actively participate in the coordination of inbound and outbound freight movements.

Inventory Management

• Work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Administrative and Production teams to maintain accurate inventory information.
• Alert sales and purchasing team to inventory imbalances.
• Coordinate movement of inventory from our Virginia yard and custom kilns to ensure proper inventory levels and meet shipment deadlines.
• Work to improve the Inventory Management Processes.
• Coordinate Inventory Management within Administrative Department.

Scheduling of Production

• Work closely with Sales and Production teams to assist in scheduling yard activities to balance export and domestic sales needs and attain needed production levels.

Retail Sales

• Assist Office Manager with retail sales and inventory.

Other

• Assist in greeting customers and visitors, answering the telephone, and assisting yard personnel with tools and supplies.
