NHLA was involved in the recent Hardwood Industry Economic Impact Study published by the Hardwood Federation. NHLA contributed $20,000 to the study, which shows that the hardwood industry employs nearly 21 million people and contributes $394 billion to the U.S. economy.

- $348.1 billion in economic output
- $156.9 billion in gross domestic product
