Partnerships That Matter: Hardwood Forest Foundation

Hardwood Forest Foundation, a 501-C3 organization, was founded in 1989 and has been involved in a variety of educational programs and activities throughout the United States and Canada, with the support of its parent organization, National Hardwood Lumber Association (NHLA).

Since its creation, NHLA has continued this support and hosted the Foundation’s office in the NHLA headquarters, located in Memphis.

The Foundation is led by a 17-member Board of Directors representing the forest products and education industries.

Mission Statement:  Provide science based programs, including Truth About Trees, to educate every elementary child in North America about sustainable forestry.

Vision Statement:  To be the educator's resource to teach all children about sustainable forestry.
